When inserted correctly the lights will flash and the unit will vibrate – should this not occur, make sure it is inserted all the way and that the light is lit. Still not charging? Try turning your TAD over and insert it the other way in the USB charger of choice.
2. Q: I just charged my new TAD, it shows 100% battery but the low battery indicator is flashing? Two Solutions:3. Q: Why is there a flashing light in the lower right?
A: When TAD’s battery reaches 20% charged, the light begins to flash as a warning because this could affect the temperature reading. Charge your TAD to 100%.
4: Q: Does my TAD shut off when not being worn?
A: TAD will go into hibernation/shut down when the ambient temperature not more than 84.2℉, or after 15 minutes of not sensing a temperature. When you’re ready to wear again, simply place it back on your wrist and press the button once to reactivate.
5. Q: Why does nothing happen when I press the button?
A: The battery could possibly be drained, please charge to 100% before using.
6. Q: Why did my TAD shut off?
A: When your TAD battery reaches 10% power remaining, it will automatically turn off because lack of power affects the temperature reading function.
7. Q: My battery is higher than the recommended 20%, why won’t the temperature display?
A: Remove the TAD module and place it into the USB charger for five minutes, in the meantime press the button, this should reset the device to the original start mode, place it under your arm for 5 minutes to confirm temperature is being taken. Restore module back to band and place on wrist.
8. Q: Why are there 4 blank lines on my TAD?
A: Your TAD has not had a chance to read your temperature yet. Once on your wrist, push the button once to shut down the light and leave alone for a minimum of 5 minutes. Then push the button once – if blank lines still display, push and hold the button for 30 seconds or until all digits and colors flash and the unit vibrates. Once done, place it back on your wrist and allow a minimum of 5 minutes to check your temperature, then push the button 1 time.
9. Q: Why is the vibration low or nonexistent when in the amber or red zone?
A: The battery could possibly be drained, please fully charge to 100% before using.
10. Q: Is there a reset button?
A: Hold the button for 25-30 seconds and the TAD will be reset to factory settings. Warning: ALL settings will be reset - including the time settings, which you must reprogram, see your instructions.
11. Q: Why would the temperature reading seem inaccurate?
A: Ensure your TAD is in close-contact with the skin when wearing. Verify battery is charged above 20%. For a more accurate result, remove TAD from wrist and place under armpit, per the instructions. Results are more accurate when tested under the armpit compared to results tested from the top or bottom of the wrist. Still not sure? Reset TAD following the previous FAQ.
12. Q: Why is there no data displayed?
A: Double check that the battery is fully charged. Please ensure your TAD is being worn in the correct, wearing condition. Outside temperatures of 86°- 113°F will affect the display.
13. Q: How do I stop the flashing “F” on my screen?
A: Press the button for 3 seconds and you will see the temperature and the green light - place back on your wrist.
14. Q: Will my TAD display the temperature in Celsius?
A: Currently TAD only reads in Fahrenheit
15. Q: Why does my TAD turn amber or red when outdoors, during physical activities or while traveling in a vehicle?
A: TAD is not meant to be worn during these times because your core body temperature could rise from direct sunlight exposure and when exerting yourself. We suggest you return indoors, wait 5-10 minutes then place TAD under your arm pit as instructed for an axillary temperature. Once complete, return to your wrist.
16. Q: How do I set the time on my TAD?

Note: Axillary, or armpit temperatures can be 1 degree lower than an oral temperature and up to 2 degrees lower than a rectal temperature.
Ear, oral, and rectal temperatures are considered the most accurate readings of actual body temperature.
Underarm (axillary) temperatures can be as much as a full degree lower than oral body temperature. TAD is designed as an alert device and serves as a tool for the wearer and those around them to be kept aware of any changes in their body temperatures.
Note: TAD is not meant to be worn by children under the age of 10.
